2 accused of assaulting JC Penney security guard arrested
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) Two people accused of assaulting a loss prevention officer inside the Saint Matthews Mall were taken into custody.Surveillance video showed Araque, Ackerman and a third man entering the JC Penney at Matt St. nike customer service Wednesday, Dec. 24. Officers said they stole about $400 in clothing and other items. When a security guard confronted them, two of the suspects attacked the store employee and fled.Emergency crews took the JC Penney security guard to the hospital, where nike flyknit she was treated for a broken nose and minor injuries to her arms and legs.Police are still searching for the third suspect described as a black man between 18 and 25 years old.
