Michigan players excited for Jordan Brand gear
All of Michigan's football attire will be outfitted by Jordan Brand, per the school's $173.8 million contract with Nike. All visible attire will feature the "Jumpman" logo instead of the "Swoosh."
It'll be different for sure. But it's something players say they're excited to be a part of.
"I don't want to give too much (away), but all I can say is it's Michael Jordan," Michigan senior corner Jourdan Lewis said this week. "It's Michael Jordan."
The reaction, from a fan standpoint to the new Nike products has been intense for more than a year now.
M Den owner Scott Hirth said earlier this month that he has received a call or email almost daily from fans asking for Nike information since former interim AD Jim Hackett signed the new apparel contract last summer.
And while the logo of a basketball player on a football uniform is something no one's ever seen before, players believe it'll end up being a positive for everyone involved in the program.
